Judges’ Choice – Home of Norm and Angie Moye The MALTA judges surprised the staff of New Leaf at the recent awards banquet. We knew we had won four awards for our work in North Georgia, but we also received one of three Judges’ Choice Awards -- grand recognition – for our ongoing maintenance of the Norm and Angie Moye home in Dahlonega. This is quite an honor for New Leaf and for the Moye family. The mountain home, nestled in the woods, is built in a cottage style. New Leaf designed a plan that would highlight the natural setting, with rock walls, perennial beds and a stunning 4,000-square-foot lawn of Zoysia that’s reel-mowed. The design also includes space for Angie to add plants each season. “I love to dig in the dirt myself and try to find additional plants to enhance the landscape,” Angie says. “My father was a landscape architect and had a nursery, so I grew up loving to garden.” The couple receives many compliments on their landscape and home, but Angie is quick to point out that they can’t take all the credit. “We just love the work that New Leaf does, from the initial design to the continuing care of our landscape,” she says. “They do a wonderful job.”
