Weeders to Leaders
The Weeders to Leaders program is a comprehensive six-month initiative designed to offer mentoring and guidance to members of the New Leaf team.
In this program, mentees are partnered with experienced mentors from the New Leaf leadership team. They meet monthly to delve into a wide range of topics that encompass both their professional and personal lives, including:
- Financial Matters: Understanding and managing finances effectively.
- Family: Nurturing strong family relationships and addressing related challenges.
- Education: Exploring opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Spiritual Queries: Reflecting on spiritual and philosophical questions.
- Recreation: Finding balance and enjoyment in leisure activities.
- Community Involvement: Engaging in community service and outreach.
- Time Management: Enhancing time management skills and productivity.
- Physical Health: Focusing on physical well-being and overall health.
- Social Engagement: Building and maintaining social connections.
The primary objective of the Weeders to Leaders program is to empower mentees to set specific goals and identify areas of personal growth. Mentors play a pivotal role in guiding mentees through their goal-setting process and holding them accountable for achieving these objectives. Since its inception in 2014, the program has successfully supported 52 individuals in their journey towards graduation.
